I like how the glaciers act as a barrier with your vantage point. This is stunning Nataly, the colours are so different which suit this landscape perfectly.

@bluechameleon: You are absolutely right. The glacier did feel like a barrier. you are looking at the lake and slowly lift your eyes and all of a sudden the water stops and turns into this mountain of ice. And then the ice turns into mountains. Thanks, Sharon!

I see you've finally found Superman's home....I wonder why the surface is so rugged and not smooth? Is it because they are constantly pushed up by water level? Very out of this world experience... :-)

@Ti: It was more rugged closer to the water, but toward the mountains it gets smoother. In the colder time it could be hiked across.
