This one is one of my experiments. I had to do a still life for my photography class and man.... it was a torture. I have never been good at the preset composition. And here we go... A whole blown staged shot. This assignment was to practice the DOF and the F stop. So I failed with this set up, but liked this one shot. I will post my chosen for the class in the next couple of days. OK, after all this "struggle" gotta go and take down a glass or two of some well deserved high quality wine (unlike my project).

This is a nice angle and composition. I would suggest to try to clone out the long white line on the left (I don't know what it is) and see if it is better or not.

@akarui: Thank you. Did you suggest to remove it? If yes, now as I am looking this composition I think it might work that way.
I like this, even if it didn't make the "cut" for class. The geometric shapes and lines work well for my eye.

@Viewfinder: Thank you! I like this composition as well and the one I chose to be the one .... Well... I`ll leave it to your judgment... I will post it next.
...........and the beat goes on...cool shot.

@alex centrella: Thank you, Alex. Speaking of the beat... Going to Coachella, so if I be able to get my camera in, I`ll try to get some nice shots.
Nice work on setting it up and great shooting. The white line is a bit disturbing, but I can only imagine it came from a bit too strong lighting. I guess you can soften it a bit in the future. Nice work, nonetheless --I'm a learner too.

@Luis: Thank you for your feedback. I agree about the white line. I will try to make the adjustments and will repost again. (Have to do some learning about the Photoshop).
I do find myself wanting for that closer drum stick to be sharper. As a former drummer I enjoy the subject, but I must agree with your assessment that this one is not quite up to par, but I think that it's the shots that don't turn out as well as we'd hope that really serve to make us better, so this certainly serves a purpose.
